How to set up a microscope for photographs

Hi everyone,

I have been lurking for a while and looking at everyone's photographs as I have recently bought a dslr but up to now have only really taken landscapes. I seem to have been diverted somewhat and am looking at taking photographs using a microscope but have no real idea on how to do this.

There is a microscope at work which I have been told I can borrow as its rarely used nowdays- dont know the model but can find out if its crucial. I have a Sony Dslr and know that I will need a T2 adapter which i am looking for on good old ebay and have found one for £6 or so. Apart from this I dont know how the rest of it works.

I am also not sure if I need some kind of tube on the microscope which it doesnt seem to have. Sorry to sound so vague but I have been searching web last night and i found a few images which all showed this tube from the eyepiece of the microscope.

Any help anyone can give I would be grateful for.

Thanks
