It's great when you can get close to them. I have a family of 5 visiting my garden, in an attempt to stop them digging up the garden quite so much I do feed them peanut butter sandwiches & peanuts now & then, a strategy that has had limited success! The older female seems quite unafraid of humans & will even come into my kitchen if the back door is ajar on warm evenings, it was quite a shock the first time it happened whilst I was watching a scary movie & the back door slowly swung open in the dark!
Although I live round the corner from woodland I think this particular clan are living in a neighbour's garden.
