Now that the 7D has been announced and tried on non-production freebies, are there any more current views on the 50D? The price of the 50D is coming down and that makes it more attractive.

I am writing as an idiot operated by a 30D which gives pretty good results.

The views of WABers who photograph wild life in general, including in birds in flight, would be most appreciated.
