Yes, there has been/is a lot of confusion with this species. It partly stems from them both sharing an old name of
Oxalis floribunda (which is in fact a distinct species similar to
O. articulata).
The photo on the British Wild Flowers site is interesting - I can't quite make out what it is, but it isn't
O. rosea.
