very well said, especially the point about Africa. It is one place I always wanted to visit but after not being able to escape those stupid Big Cat diaries and other similar programmes grrrrrh - I am sure there are other more interesting places in the world but maybe they don't live up to peoples dreams and aspirations that is the ultimate holiday in the African sun?
It is a shame that programs like this have got to be sensationalist to bring in the ratings - think about that Australian animal taunter-er. Did the majority of people watch him because they enjoyed the wildlife, or was it more the danger he put himself in? I suspect I know which it was!
Very sad.

A load of rubbish. Reality tv meets interesting documentry don't mix in this case.
As a young person just really starting out in this business, it was a real let down to see someone being somewhat fast-tracked into a career which it obiviously takes others years to build.
And please would someone tell me why every single time the BBC and others make a programme like this they must go to africa? Sure lions and rhinos are amazing but I'd like to see how those finalists would have managed on a
cold(ish) morning in britain trying to programme some of our most prolific species. A thumbs down from this disgruntled brit chick. |
