Have you tried manual focusing, it could be that the AF is slightly off. Stopping down would hide this.

Also, on my screen it seems to be softer on the horizontal edges that the vertical suggesting vibration in the virtical direction.

I've checked my images and can't find any wide open, guess I usually stop down slightly.
