| Re: Shampoo bottles for instance... As a newbie, can I resurrect this thread with something relevant? By far the most efficient way to wash hair - especially if it's long and straight, like mine is to comb it first and remove all tangles. Then squirt shampoo into your hand , a teaspoonful does me, and mix with a little warm water. Wet your hair or apply the shampoo to dry hair if it's really mucky. Keep your hair long and apply the shampoo as if you were sponging down fabric. DON'T TANGLE IT ON THE TOP OF YOUR HEAD. The amount of lather produced this way is minimal and it rinses clean easily. Use the same principle for conditioner and when drying it, don't tangle it either. Advertisments show people tangling thousands of individual hairs together, piling the hair on top of the head, thereby breaking the hairs and making more money for the people who make super-expensive conditioners to mend broken hair.
Clever tricks these ad people use.
( I got this info from a book by Dr Adam Hart- Davis, btw who sourced it from experts.) |
