Good point about the brown irises.
Now I'm thinking, possibly a Texas Rat Snake... These are reputed to be pretty aggressive and almost certain to bite if handled. Apparently they are popular as pets - not sure why, with a temperament like that!
May be worth posting your pics on a specialist snake/herp enthusiasts' site, see if any reptile pet owners can confirm ID. |
