Hi guys!

I was wondering if you could help me? Ive found a hairy black caterpillar with a very light (hard to destinguish the colour. either a very light red or even white) dorsal stripe on its 'skin'. Ive tried to research it a little on the net and the best I can come up with is a White Ermine Moth. Also what would this caterpillar feed on? I will try to upload a photo presently but my camera is out of action at the moment.

P.S. I have a very keen interest in butterflies and moths and would like to start to try to rear a couple. Does anyone have any tips/hints on how to get started?
