Re: East Sussex meet up.

Hi,
I walk Brede High Wood at least once a week. I live close to the woods and it only takes me a few minuets to get there on foot.
I have been on a number of Patrick's walks in the past and would recommend them to anyone.
Patrick has been walking Brede High Woods for decades and is an expert on the area, the wildlife, and the history.
When the Woodland Trust purchased the woods, It was Patrick they commissioned to make a report of the area for them. So he has a big say in the future of the woodlands as well as knowledge on its past.
If you want a guided walk of the area, you will not find a better guide.
Patrick has received awards for his voluntary work, and was featured on springwatch.
Patrick has a website for Brede High Woods
Brede High Woods: A good year for fungi
Along with others. If you watch springwatch a couple of them may ring a bell.

It was mentioned in a previous post about tree felling. Some work has already started and a small area is out of bounds currently. There are still plenty of paths free to walk. I was there yesterday and easily managed to spend 6 hours there, and I only walked some of the paths.
