My feeling is, and I could be wrong, that your latest picture is still a hornbeam leaf. If it is an elm, then the base of the leaf blade where it meets the petiole should be distinctly longer on one side compared to the other. But your picture doesn't show the base of the leaf so it is difficult to be sure.
