I have no doubt the Policeman involved is full remorse but it will happen again not only with animals but also with children.
Could some enterprising company come up with a gadget that would detect movement in the car and if the temperature in the vehicle was high it would trigger an alarm to warn of the dangers possibly even having a display on the rear window etc
