This is prob nothing new to most of you but there has been a throng of new members joining.
On my first weeks here i almost threw my pc out in the garden with frustration of being unable to upload pics onto a thread or posting?.....GILL CATTON bless her...fixed it for me each time...
but i think i have spotted the simple little irritating reason for it going wrong.
Ok...so you have uploaded your pics succesfully ( this is a head ache alone but do-able) and now you want to put your pic on a thread or posting to get an ID or just show off your photo skill ( or lack of)...
Everyone tells you...." Go to your pic in the gallery....highlight the pic URL code....then in the thread click add pic and paste" ....right?.......Well...yes....but NO ONE tells you...
when you highlight the code.....you have the complete thing......but then when you click the ADD PIC button on your thread or posting....the small box thats pops up frustratingly has the http// part of the code already there by default.....you then click and paste your code and ......it doesnt work....the dreaded red cross sign etc...
So...
when you click the add pic icon in the thread....before you paste your complete code...delete the offending http// thing....then paste...
I may be wrong but once i started doing this....suprise suprise my pics started appearing in my posts !..
If im wrong then i give up

if i AM correct....cant someone techy get rid of the default http// thing ? it will clear up alot of probs for newbies or technophobes.
Dan
