I wish I had my camera ready all the time... today I was watching a Great Spotted Woodpecker on my peanuts when a Jay flew in. The two of them hung on the feeder until a carefully aimed peck from the Jay saw off the GSW. Then 2 juvenile Jays flew in and perched on the bench under the feeder, demanding to be fed.
By the time I had my camera ready this was all I could get...
