Hurrayyyy!!! Someone from the RHS website forum has identified my odd plant. It's Campanula Takesimana "Beautiful Trust" and originates in Korea. Now, how on earth it got from Korea to my old plant-pot is anybody's guess but never mind, it's here and I'll cherish it now.
