I'm a Volunteer ATH Tree Verifier. Don't worry about it not being suitable. Just "measure it and add it" is my advice. Although it's called the Ancient Tree Hunt we are trying to find out about "all" large old trees - and you can see from your picture that your tree is larger than "normal".
Get a long tape measure - take a friend (as it's easier with two of you) and measure the girth of the tree at 1.5m from the ground (in metres and cms). Then you can add it to the records on the ATH. However, you must make sure you have permission to go onto the land if it is private.
Believe me it's addictive. Now I can't go anywhere without my tape measure!
