Leaning over the gate late last evening watching a young fox cub running round the field(1st cub I've seen here!),he suddenly ran up to a Roe & her 2 youngens (which I hadn't spotted!)then shot off in the other direction really quickly!!!
The deer wandered around for a while then mum hopped over the fence,the other 2 were too small so they were running up & down trying to find a better way through..one did but the other didn't,just kept going up & back making a very soft sqeeky noise!Had to go in cos it was getting dark,hope mum found her baby !
Was a lovely experience to watch as they had no idea I was there.
Have seen 2 adult ones before but 1st time to see the young....wondered where the other adult was....I hope that wasn't what was being shot at the other evening!
