Re: conservation in cambridge

Hi,
I've been living in Cambridge for the past two years and due to start my masters in October so I've been in a similar position to you. I joined the Cambridgeshire Wildlife Trust Ecology Groups based in Cambourne - they have loads of stuff going on including an ongoing bat project. Plus if you join you can go to the training courses for free, which are very useful. I couldn't really take advantage as much as I'd have liked since I've only just been able to afford a car! I also volunteer at Milton Country Park, they are always looking for help! The Cambridge Natural History Society run lots of talks and surveys, so thats worth a look too. I'm also currently doing some nightjar surveying for a PhD student, that's a good way to get some free training!

Hope this helps!
