I see a few Hawfinches now & then in the New Forest, Not so much rare as elusive. Black Water arboretum is a garunteed place to see them rosting here in the winter. Also plenty of Crossbills around now & even more in winter with Redpolls etc. Usually see Bulfinches when I'm out. |
