Thanks everyone for your interest - my pics are timed in UT/GMT or +1hr for BST. 1030-1100BST seems about the best time for me but it can vary with your latitude.

I think some science could come out of the central oval feature recorded from many parts of the UK for precise range [many 100s of km] and altitude etc using the bright star in each pic of Capella for reference. This area of the cloud was moving very slowly up the sky away from the horizon in my sequence - took 42 NLC pics that evening
