1. Silver Y, rather worn specimen!
2. A plume moth, Pterophoridae - sorry not sure which.
3. Grapholita compositella
4. Large Skipper, Ochlodes sylvanus. Skippers are grouped with the butterflies rather than the moths - but really there is no difference between a butterfly and a moth. I've heard somewhere recently that the Skippers are now considered taxonomically a separate Superfamily from the rest of the butterflies. |
