Re: Nikon DK-21M magnifying eyepiece

Hi Peter,

I haven't used the DK-21M, and am not sure if this is of any interest to you, but I recently got a DR-6 right angle finder for my D80 (primarily for low level fungi shots etc.).

The DR-6 has a slider switch and can be used for viewing at either 1:1 actual viewfinder size, or 2:1 twice the image size.

The beauty of the device is that it also has a focussing adjustment so you can fine tune it dependent upon your own eyesight.

The major downside though, is the fact that it costs almost £200.00, so it might be completely over the top for what you actually need.

EDIT - Just to clarify, the focussing is actually a dioptric adjustment to compensate for spectacle wearer's requirements. (I wear them myself).
Also, the information on Nikons website refers to the viewfinder's reproduction ratio as 1:1 or 1:2(which would be half life size), but it is definitely x1 and x2.

Regards
Mike.
