I'm not sure on the Clover but the Spurge is in my opinion Cypress Spurge. The leaves are thin enough, its the right height. If you went later on in the year I think the leaves redden and this is the clincher. I found some in similar habitat on some Sand Dunes local to me. It was full of escapees.
