Re: sigma 150-500 or 50-500

Well after reading the replies and seeing some of the images taken when members have been using the sigma 150-500, I decided to go for the 150-500 over the 50-500 as I do a lot of walking so having OS on the lens is very handy,
the lens arrived Friday which was great as this meant that I could take it on the Avalon 24 event over the weekend, I'm now kicking my self and wishing I had taken my cheap tamron 70-300 zoom as it takes a much better picture and I would of got some good photos that I fill would have been good enough to go in the Gallery,
But after doing 24 Hours of walks and carrying the 150-500 during most of the daylight walks, I did not get one good quality photo the OS seemed to work when hand-held but autofocus is way out even having the lens on a tripod and OS turned off , the lens could not get any photos in focus, but then even focusing manually I could not get one sharp photo there all way to soft and just not good quality even in very good light and fast shutter speeds this len just did not produce the quality if should of done I think I got one that should not of passed the QC so I'm going to send it back and get the 50-500
