I had the good fortune to visit a Hall to the west of Grange over Sands today and was pleasantly suprised to find the drive flanked with five superb Plane trees. I've been looking out for one since posting on this thread - there's not many in this part of the world.
There's a few images below and I would just ask for comparison to the leaf structure of the Plane to that in the original images posted by Uncle Filthster.
Ignore the image titles "Sorbus" in the library, I was taking pics of lenticels on Sorbus spp. similar to that shown in U-F's images.
