Re: How can I deter frogs in the garden?

I still have problems with frogs and toads (yes it's all coming out now after being a member here for almost 2 years ) I cannot handle adult frogs, which I'm sure there all too happy about ! Though there was a time when I was absolutely petrified off the little things. That all changed when I built a pond and went out of the way to make it with frogs in mind as I had watched from my childhood how they were quickly disappearing from around our neck of the woods and didn't at all like the thought of that! It wasn't long after the pond was made the frogs came in and I started to get to like them being there and using the the nooks and crannies I set up in the pond for them to take refuge in. So over the time my fears started to wain, though they can still make me jump when 1 just hops out in front of me when I'm not expecting it lol, and no not as yet am I prepared to pick them up, which was need at times when working at the farm shop-toads use to settle happy under the pallets we kept outside for coal which happened to get rather damp on the ground as it was on a small slope so rain water gathered there. Then the shop front was extended the slope knocked out but the toads somehow managed to find there way to the same spot, which meant me having to get others to take them away! Though I have to say now that I have taken up gardening full time I'm always happen when I come across them even at first I'm a little alarmed!

So I know what your partner is going through and I wish him all the best with overcoming his fears it can happen to a greater extent if not completely and hope you find a god solution which is best for all!
