Eeyore, we all know how valiant a job you did for the sake of the GNB, as you mentioned this months ago in this very thread (senility?). As monkeypoo has said, since when has being a game keeper had anything to do with understanding wildlife or knowing the countryside. game keepers are merely self serving as with most other countryside experts like farmers.
Dont try and tell other people about the countryside like they have never lived in it, I am born and reaised in rural derbys and know plenty of game keepers. they know 2 things: pheasants and foxes, and farmers (of which I have 2 uncles who farm beef) know what they need to about livestock. Neither occupation deals with understanding any indepth knowledge of british wildlife, conservation or ecology.
