I would avoid using tadpoles as amphibians are on a decline at the moment, using other pond life would be more benificial. Possibly buying shrimps or maggots from fish food/Angling shops could be a possibility. They will eat a wide range of organisms. It would be hard to predict an emergence date if you did post a photo, you could say roughly by the size. Also we would be able to say what species it was.
