Re: where did you walk today?

Today I walked along this deserted path near Holywell in North East Wales

It's about a mile long and I never see anyone on it, despite it being a public right of way. To the sides are extensive woodlands, with lots of secret little pools betrayed only by a circle of willows

Why does nobody go there? Well this possibly-illegal sign at the start is maybe part of it. I wickedly bless the landowner for putting it there...

...and parts of the path might put off the casual walker ...

Back to Holywell. It derives it's name from a Holy Well. I can only show a glimse of it (you can just see the candles as well)...

...because despite this sign on the adjacent gate...

...that gate is padlocked! You have to go through a turnstile, paying 80p for entry. So we are charged even for holy things. Martin Luther, we need you!
