I too at first considered Ramalina farinacea but the rounded sections observed when zooming in ruled this out. Usnea subfloridana suggested by Alan certainly looks to be the strongest contender. Absolutely right Alan the tree was also covered in Evernia prunastri one of the few I am familiar with.
