The Avocets aren't a secret here on the reserve here in Worcester there are 9 back now but to be honest after the initial delight of having them when they first came now they can be a bit of a pain as they tend to be quite agressive and chase off other species during the breeding season.
I just hope the Little Ringed Plover manage to sucessfully raise some young this year as I think every single one died last year, we had the misfortune to watch one drown from the hide. |
