Lots of Wood Anemones (
A. nemorosa) & quite a few weird-looking spikes of Butterbur (
Petasites vulgaris) out today, as well as some fine plants of Marsh-marigold
Caltha palustris, but the Snake's-head Fritillaries
Fritillaria meleagris at North Meadow near Cricklade, Wiltshire are at least two, maybe three weeks away from being at their best
Strange, because almost a week or so I found some naturalised specimens in full bloom on the outskirts of Bristol
