Back in the 70s the family were reduced to using a bucket in place of a toilet for 6 weeks whilst waiting for repairs.
I dug a couple of deep holes at the far end of the back garden and gradually filled them. I'd started on the third dig when in desperation I wrote to the M.O.H. How pleased I was when the offending pipework was repaired the very next day.
I planted my favourite rose trees (Fragrant Dawn) on the pits and was surprised to see them a few months later absolutely laden with flowers. They flourished and were admired for many years.
I don't know if this is a help to you as I know very little about septic tanks. Do they contain chemicals? If so, it might not be the thing to do.
