hey everyone!
many thanks for your advice.. i shall follow up the crowden clough site as it's on the same walk from edale/kinder so that'll be good for me and also the hathersage site. i am aware of the dangers of having a fire and wild camping, i haven't done this very often as most places don't allow this. i just threw in that idea just to see if anyone knew anywhere in particular (there was one site in betws-y-coed that had this and that took me by surprise but it was fortunate as there were midges everywhere that summer!)
i've cut n pasted these suggestions in my 'must explore places'. thank you again for your kind efforts.
