Unfortunately I'm not known for being particularly tactful or diplomatic, though life would probably be much, much easier if I was.
That was a genuine question - I'm only very, very slowly getting a sense of the variation a species can show and I spend a ridiculous amount of time trying to figure out whether the lichen I'm looking at is a variation of one I've seen before or something else entirely........ as in the case of this one.... Looking forward to your further thoughts, and I'll try and remember to go back down that way to see if its developed any hepful characteristics.
Thank you for confirming the Solenopsora vulturiensis - those little blue squamules have been bugging me for quite a while!
