In the UK we just recycled paper and garden waste which was collected by the council, and glass at the bottle bank.
Here In france the council collects paper, plastic, tin cans and other aluminium items like tin foil packaging, foil lined drinks cartons.
I guess we recycle more cause we have the convenience of the council collecting.
Oh and we still take our glass to the bottle banks, there does seem to be alot more glass waste here, mainly wine bottles
