I've never been to South Uist, but if it's anything like North Uist where I went last August, it will be amazing.

Went on a trip to Iona when on holiday in Mull last May. Had 2 good (but fleeting) views of a corncrake. Plenty of patience is required as you can hear them all around you but can't see them.
