Benbecula is a great bet for Corncrakes in May Goat, though I'm sure South Uist should be very good too. I've booked Mull at the end of May, with two objectives in mind, to see a Corncrake and (weather permitting), climb Ben More.
I've never been to South Uist, but if it's anything like North Uist where I went last August, it will be amazing.
