Just heard on the news that we will not be able to take hand luggage on the plane.
Normally I take my camera gear on in its bag as hand luggage, must say I don’t fancy the idea of it going in the hole, having seen the way normal luggage is thrown around.
Camera gear today cost a few pounds, and I dread to think of the damage it would cause.
I’m not sure if we can buy a hard type of case for camera gear, most I know of are made from a canvas type of material.
Would this also mean if we could buy a hard type of case, that we would have to pay an extra charge for excess baggage?

Whilst it a pain in the proverbial a bit bulky and for some may be to late, it might now be worth keeping the original packaging that the equipement came in at least it's protected and the packaging was generally made for the job in hand. Just a thought.
