I have used Trail Master units a couple of years ago linked to a waterproofed Canon 35 mm compact. The results were good but a digital camera would be better for ease of downloading. Have a look at these on Alana Ecology's website.

There are other compact units available, a friend of mine has bought one recently for less than £100. I'll find out which one and where he got it from.
