South Shropshire - undiscovered and simply stunning! All of the places that have been mentioned are worthwhile walks, but there are many many off the beaten track locations too. Wonderful old farmhouses, attractive working market towns, and endless horizons once you're up on the hills. Try cycling too, particularly up on the high unfenced lanes of Clun Forest - this is what life must have been like before the onslaught of the car. |
