Well this afternoon, we went to a talk by Mike Dilger and I have to say he was excellent.
Great knowledge of all aspects of natural history, very funny anecdotes, very down to earth and talked to everyone individually at the end who wanted a chat with him, including me.
He's been to some very exotic places but gives British Wildlife the big thumbs up. He's survived all sorts of nasty tropical diseases from his jungle trips and laughs about them.
Personally, after seeing him now, I would suggest him as a good replacement for Bill on Springwatch.
If you get the chance to go to one of his talks I would recommend it.
