I first saw them quite a few years ago on Dunwich and Westleton Heaths - also while looking for nightjars!
Was told recently that they are around the Arnside area which despite my intimate knowledge of that area managed to surprise me! I haven't checked this out yet - will reply again if I get chance to go and have a look - or even better actually find them!
