Hello from London

Hello, I'm new to this forum. I live in London and about 3 years ago moved from a house in a conservation area with a garden jam-packed with wildlife, to a house about 5mins drive down the road, all covered in gravel and no wildlife in sight.

I've since got rid of the gravel, planted a lawn, some flowers, a fruit tree, a buddlaeia, put in a tiny pond, grown some veg, and put out bird feeders. Well there's still no wildlife other than spiders and some cabbage white butterflies in the summer, and pigeons flying overhead pretty frequently. Very occasionally a blackbird appears and I've seen a robin once.

I'm now on a mission to get this sorted and have ordered a bug house and a roosting pocket, and put out some different bird foods (sunflower hearts, mealworms, suet-based stuff), and am about to go get some old logs to pile in one corner and put in a weeny bog garden.

If all of this doesn't attract at least SOMETHING then I'll give up. I miss the wildlife! There are lots of cats around (I have one as well) and I have two cocker spaniels.

Any tips appreciated for a wildlife draught in London!
