Hi!
Iam new here. I found the site whilst looking for info on Hedgehogs, liked what I saw so came back for better look and decided to stay a while. I live in the country in West Norfolk, Iam retired and live with my wife. We have a family of three Hedgehogs living in the garden, they come for water every night, even if we are sitting in the garden. I think it is Mum and two youngsters. We have not feed them as we live next to farm and don't want to attract willy Rat and friends. We have a Fish Pond in the garden and have a number of Frogs and Toads who visit from time to time. There are numerous Munc jac deer around here and a few fallow deer although they are not seen so often. In the fields there are many Hares, mainly visiable when the harvest is done, also the number of rabbits is on the rise even in places where they have not been seen for years.
With regards to birds we have a Blackbird who calls several time a day for food, he has been here all year and has brought at least two broods of young here for food in the last few months. He helps himself to floating fish food from the pond and teaches the young to do the same. We have a wide selection of other birds visiting regularly, including Sparrows, Starlings, Bullfinch, Greenfinch, Collared doves, Woodpigeaon, Wrens, and a few more .
Well I was only going to say hullo, I do ramble on, anyway at least you know a bit about me, look forward to getting to know you too. Cheers Roy
