Well I've had a quick look online for you Mike and I see that people's main qualm is that it's quite difficult to activate the shutter with the remote either a) Through clothing or B) From behind the camera due to the IR receiver being on the front of the camera. Lots of reviews here but couldn't see anything about half depression of the button for focussing;
