We keep records of every animal that comes into the centre. All these are then sent every quarter of a year to the BWRC (British Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre). They list every species of bird, mammal etc., that has been looked after, whether it died in the first 48 hours, what happened to it to cause it to be brought into care and whether it was released or still in care.
We also keep records for the National Swan Convention who then send their findings on to the Environment Agency.
I also keep Bat records myself which I will now forward to the local Bat Recorder in our area.
