Im not entirely sure on this but i'd say that an adder probably wouldn't use all of its vemon up in one bite, most snakes (going from documentories) have enough to bite several times.
And if totally out of vemon it would probably still strike out in defence.
I'll be interested to see if anyone has some knowledge on this one..
