| Re: Kelly or Eydon Storm kettle Having followed this thread with interest, and reading the posts, I can smell the woodsmoke and see the flames shooting out of the top of my kelly so when I take the dog into the woods this afternoon I'm going to take the kettle. You boys who fiddle with gas, meths and petrol, just think of me gathering the smallest dry yew twigs by the handfull and enjoying an old enamelled mug full of steaming Russian caravan tea whilst watching the setting sun go down.
I'll think of you enjoying the romance of mopping up spilt meths, stinging hands when it gets into cuts on the hands and the smell!
There's no contest is there?
For those with the real thing- eucalyptus bark starts burning well if you can get some.
Whatever you use, enjoy doing it outdoors and have a Happy Christmas. |
