Called in Lidl lunchtime today for their Xmas ‘optical’ specials by Bresser - all fully coated lenses + 5yr warrentee. There was plenty of stock currently but this can vary from store to store – Google Lidl for local stores and full specification of items.
1] Birding/astro-scope 25-75 zoom x 90mm OG with sturdy full height tripod/camera adapter @ £97.88.
2] 70mm f/10 refractor + 3 eyepieces + full height tripod + CD software/ star/moon maps etc @ £58.70.
Telescope mount can be tilted to your latitude so a single slow turn of one control knob will track the moon/stars across the sky.
3] 10x50 binoculars with BaK prisms + nylon pouch @ £12.70.
4] Microscope set mag x20-1280 via 3 objectives on rotating carriage + 2 eyepieces and x2 Barlow + USB 640x480p eyepiece camera + software @ £48.90.
5] Pocket microscope x60-100 with light [needs 2xAA bats] 1yr warrentee @ £5.86.
Only opened [and bought the bins] but with Lidl’s 28day return policy/ long warrentee [keep receipt!] there are few worries.
